Description

"We are a family business founded by a guitar player, a drummer, a journalist, an architect and a dog. Our pedals are handmade in California. Every pedal we make is unique, hand made, and there are no two exactly alike." - Filipe Pampuri

We're excited to welcome California-based Beetronics FX to The Music Emporium family! Boasting a roster of players like Tim Lefebvre (David Bowie/Tedeschi Trucks Band), Sean Ono Lennon, Tim Commerford (Rage Against The Machine/Audioslave), Jeff Tweedy (Wilco), Josh Smith, Patrick Carney (Black Keys), Beetronics FX's hand-wired pedals cover a wide range of unique overdrive and fuzz tones.

The Swarm is an analog fuzz harmonizer that basically turns your input signal into a square wave, then multiplies and divides the frequency of that wave, giving you nine possible harmonies in two different octaves. Modulation is applied to the harmonies, making them go from a nearly perfect tracking harmony to a wild and uncontrollable swam of bees.

WORKER sets the level of your input signal, now fuzzy and buzzy. SPECIES allows you to select between between nine different intervals for your harmonies. QUEEN and DRONE set the levels for each of the harmonies that stay one octave apart.

FLIGHT and STING control the modulation applied to the harmonies. These are highly interactive controls and you will find a lot of different sounds just by exploring these. STING sets how fast or slow the harmonies will follow your playing, FLIGHT will set the response of the modulation, and MASTER will set your output volume.

Even with all of this knowledge under your belt, the Swarm does best when played by instinct - mess with every control until you find a tone that you like and let have fun.
