Description

"In 1993, I set out to faithfully recreate the crown jewels among the many classic amplifiers developed by Leo Fender. Victoria Amplifier is recognized by players and critics alike for having succeeded in recapturing the classic sound, design, and American craftsmanship embodied in the tweed amps of the late '50s." - Mark Baier

A shop favorite, we simply love the Victoria Vicky Verb combo. Imagine a tweed Champ with reverb and tone controls - and - the ability to run at 5 watts via a 6V6 tube, or, take it up to 15 watts via a 6L6 or EL34 all without having to rebias the amp. There's also a Full and Half power switch which makes this the ultimate living room, small gig, or studio amp.

The tones from this amp are simply incredible, as is the feel. Three dimensional, lush, rich...the depth of tone from this amp is pretty staggering. At 5 watts, it's plenty loud for home playing, though not overly so. You can easily get this amp up a little over half-way and it's still really manageable with headroom to spare. In our experience, the breakup only comes on at the upper end of the volume control which is refreshing. Some 5 watt / "home amps" are waaaay too loud for that purpose. Not so with the Vicky Verb. Mark also assures us that if you pop a 6L6 or EL34 into the VV, you're at a very gig-worthy volume (we have no reason to doubt this though we haven't tried it).

Looking for the perfect amp for quiet jams, gigs, or home playing? This is it folks. Stellar amp that's built for the long-haul!
