Circa OM-28 Cocobolo / Adirondack

Description

We're thrilled to have another guitar from luthier John Slobod in the shop! Slobod's shingle, Circa Guitars, has a well-warranted reputation as one of the best boutique outfits in the acoustic guitarosphere; and like all great luthiers, his instruments seem to get better all the time. Witness this OM-28 Cocobolo, which we've had on order for over a year ... and was it ever worth the wait. John's reputation for having a wood locker second to none is evidenced by the sensational, straight-grained Cocobolo back & sides and master-grade Red Spruce top. The appointments are traditional style-28 fare, and the neck is supported by a non-adjustable graphite truss rod (for a guitar made from Cocobolo, this one doesn't weigh much at all). As for sound and responsiveness in an OM, this guitar has it all: warmth, detail and sparkle like you wouldn't believe, with beautiful overtones cascading out of every note. It's got a very woody feel to the note attack, and a beautiful darkness in the low midrange. This is one of those special guitars that may not always be visible on the showroom floor -- but it'll be a quick pull when a customer asks "what's the best guitar you've got in the shop?" Priced with Cedar Creek hard case.
