Description

We loved the Sitka-topped 001-T 12-fret we recently had in the shop, so needless to say, it didn't take any convincing to get us excited to feature this Adirondack spruce model. Our write-up of the 12-fret 001-T went a little something like: This 12-fret 001-T in Mahogany and Sitka is the guitar featured at the recent NAMM show; and does it ever deliver if you've been craving a slightly beefier 12-fret Traditional model. Hugely responsive, with more low end than you'll get from a comparable 0-sized guitar, the 001-T offers a fantastic option for players seeking a versatile guitar that's big enough to flatpick without feeling too timid for the task. Maximum comfort and tone from a small-bodied guitar. And all of that is equally true of this one ... with the expected benefits of Adirondack Spruce. It provides more of everything: throatier bass, punchier mids, and a more singing treble register for those who like to dig in with a flatpick. A powerhouse of a small-bodied guitar from Collings that's just going to get better with age, and priced with TKL hard case.
