Description

Brand new OM1 just in from our friends at Collings Guitars of Austin, TX! This guitar is upgraded with a German Spruce top (in place of the usual Sitka), a cutaway and a short scale length. What does that do to the sound? Well, OM1s don't need much help to begin with -- but we've found that German Spruce and Mahogany in a Collings guitar provides the perfect mix of wood & sparkle (with plenty of punch whether you play with a flatpick, bare fingers or some of each). A short scale length makes the playability a hair slinkier than your average Collings (and we don't hear much -- if any -- difference in the sound). A dynamite guitar for the solo fingerstylist -- but really, just a dynamite guitar. Period. Priced TKL hard case!
