Description

If you've had your eye out for a deal on one of Collings' Julian Lage signature model OMs, look no further than this pre-owned example just in for consignment. As we've said about the OM1JL Adirondack before: The Collings OM1JL is the result of Bill's tireless efforts to provide Julian with a touring guitar that would match his 1939 Martin 000-18 in tone, neck feel and vibe while maintaining the rugged stability that professional players demand of their Collings instruments. Built with Collings' "Traditional" construction specs, the OM1JL features Mahogany back and sides, a Spruce top, extra-thin satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, old-style peghead inlay and a custom neck blueprinted from Julian's aforementioned '39 000-18. Simply put, this is the most exciting Collings guitar to come along in quite some time, and its lightness of build and dry, airy tone must be experienced to be believed.

This guitar is in near mint condition, with only some light signs of play wear on the pickguard. And truly, a few years of action have only made this guitar better, giving that Adirondack top time to open up. Please note the following: this guitar was built with a 1 3/4" nut width, meaning its neck profile is that of any Collings "Traditional" OM (i.e. not the custom profile typically seen on a standard OM1JL with a 1 11/16" nut width). Bonus: price includes an early example of Collings' own vintage-style hard case, with indigo colored lining!
