Description

"Designed from the ground up, the new Taylor GT (short for Grand Theater) introduces a new category of acoustic guitar in size, feel and sound. Crafted on Taylor’s California campus, the GT’s uniquely modern proportions make it super fun and easy to play, with a big sonic personality worthy of any pro player’s toolbox."

Never one to take a break from innovation, Taylor's Grand Theater Urban Ash combines playability, affordability and environmental sustainability in one delightful little package! Sitting somewhere between the GS Mini and their Grand Concert models, the Grand Theater has a 24 1/8" scale length that, when paired with standard light gauge strings, is surprisingly slinky and easy-playing. The body shape is a scaled down version of their largest size, the Grand Concert, and construction is all solid wood, so tone and volume are maximized in a way that often gets sacrificed on other smaller bodied guitars. When it comes to responsibly sourced materials, Taylor leads the pack. Smoked eucalyptus makes an excellent sub for ebony on the fretboard, and reclaimed Urban Ash brings a tone that is focused, woody and responsive - not unlike mahogany or sapele. Pricing includes Taylor's sturdy, travel-ready Aerocase.
