Description

"My passion for restoring and building instruments began in 1982. I have worked for numerous artists who have shaped and inspired the guitars I build today. My designs offer the revered tones and iconic vibe found in great vintage instruments, coupled with refined solid construction, boutique electronics and custom feel." - Bill Asher

Our first of Bill Asher's new "Studio Series" T-Deluxe guitars just in!

The Studio Series takes the already fantastic T-Deluxe model and strips it down...in theory at least. There are still quite a few deluxe appointments that make you feel like you're getting a hell of a deal without sacrificing what makes the standard T-Deluxe so great.

For example, this gorgeous Quazar Blue Studio Series T-Deluxe features a metallic nitro finish with a matching headstock, double bound ash body w/grained ivoroid binding, a one-piece maple neck w/Indian rosewood fretboard, Kluson tuners, Asher pickups, a tortoise pick guard, and a passive tone switch (mini-toggle). Did we mention it weighs 6.5lbs too?

The setup, playability, and build quality are fantastic. The Studio Series has a more hand-made vibe, namely in the finish, and we really love it. It's a very resonant, lively, and ultimately musical guitar. We were scratching our heads a little while playing it - this is the stripped down version? Plays and sounds as good as any T-Deluxe we've ever had. Hats off to Bill for not cutting any quality corners while offering up a guitar at a lower price-point!

Simply put, this is a killer guitar and a great introduction to Asher Guitars and the T-Deluxe model. Check it out! Priced with deluxe Mono gig bag.
