Description

"My passion for restoring and building instruments began in 1982. I have worked for numerous artists who have shaped and inspired the guitars I build today. My designs offer the revered tones and iconic vibe found in great vintage instruments, coupled with refined solid construction, boutique electronics and custom feel." - Bill Asher

We truly feel Bill Asher is at the top of his game as every guitar we've gotten from him this year has been stunning! This roasted T-Deluxe is certainly no exception! Roasted? Yep. Roasting is the electric guitar equivalent of the torrefaction process used by acoustic guitar builders. The basic idea is to mimic the aging process wood undergoes after many decades by reducing the amount of moisture in the wood (do a Google search for a more thorough explanation). The end result being a very stable, very resonant guitar that shares many characteristics of the great vintage guitars.

Played acoustically, this T-Deluxe has all the liveliness and snap you'd expect from a great ash bodied Tele-style guitar. The soft V carve, satin finished, 12" radius neck feels incredible - gently broken-in, with a nod toward modern playability (given the radius). The T Classic pickups bring a lot more traditional Tele twang to the gig than the normal T-Blade pickups found on this model. Combined with a 6 position ToneStyler circuit (chicken head knob), you have anything from classic Tele twang to very convincing archtop tones available.

Combined with a very light overall weight, satin finished body and neck, and a gold anodized pickguard, these specs add up to a killer Tele-style guitar for folks looking to buck tradition. Priced with G&G hardshell case.
