Description

"My passion for restoring and building instruments began in 1982. I have worked for numerous artists who have shaped and inspired the guitars I build today. My designs offer the revered tones and iconic vibe found in great vintage instruments, coupled with refined solid construction, boutique electronics and custom feel." - Bill Asher

Telecaster diehards will already know this little secret - pine bodied Tele's have a magic to the tone that their Ash or Alder brethren don't (Leo Fender used pine for some of the earliest Telecasters). Sparkle, chime...whatever you chose to call it, it's hard to deny how incredibly resonant and musical this roasted pine T-Deluxe is!

Roasting is the electric guitar equivalent of the torrefaction process used by acoustic guitar builders. The basic idea is to mimic the aging process wood undergoes after many decades by reducing the amount of moisture in the wood (do a Google search for a more thorough explanation). The end result being a very stable, very resonant guitar that shares many characteristics of the great vintage guitars.

The Asher T Classic bridge pickup delivers tons of Tele twang and the Fat Bucker neck pickup sounds killer for fat lead work. Combined with a 6 position Veritone circuit (chicken head knob), you have anything from classic Tele twang, LP Junior grind, to very convincing archtop tones available (really!).

Highlights: Gently broken-in vintage feel; extremely lightweight; expanded Tele tonal palette; great playability and soft V neck carve; incredibly resonant

Condition: Like new save for a several inch long indentation on the back of the guitar - visible in the pics of the back (look just under the neck bolts).

Combined with a very light overall weight, satin finished body and neck, and an anodized pickguard, these specs add up to a killer Tele-style guitar for folks looking to buck tradition. Priced with G&G hardshell case.
