Description

TME family, we'd like to introduce you to your next favorite electric builder - the brilliantly talented Scott Heatley.

"From the beginning the idea was to build high quality guitars in small numbers and it remains that way to this day. The output is kept limited to ensure the quality stays high. I used my years as a tech before I started building to hone my setup and fretwork skills. I build guitars because I am obsessed with them and I love to build. It is my art and my passion."

This gorgeous semi-hollowbody Parisienne model took its inspiration from European archtops and demonstrates Scott's obsession perfectly. Details abound: thick European style bindings w/tortoise purfling; the custom made pickup cover's tortoise grain flows in same direction as the grain in the pickguard; the custom made knobs took their inspiration from Italian churches (marble would be inset into marble); the fingerboard inlay shape matches the lines on the volume and tone knobs; the side dots are tortoise; the tuner washers are countersunk, which allows the headstock to be thicker and keeps the tuners straight (as opposed to pulling forward which can distort the finish over time); the switch tip features a little tortoise dot; the kelvinator-style headstock; Scott even made the bridge...just beautiful, flawlessly executed work.

Looks aside, the Korina-bodied, maple topped Parisienne is a fantastic playing and sounding guitar, period. The .900" C shaped maple neck sports excellent fretwork, yielding a really easy to play / slinky feel. The Wolfetone/Heatley designed P-90s are punchy, open, and balanced (the middle position is wired out-of-phase) - they can do clean to pretty gained out without missing a step. One of the things we really love about this guitar is that it is deceptively versatile - it can cover a ton of ground while looking damned good in the process.

Fans of Yanuziello, Koll, Probett....you really need to check out Scott's work. World-class craftsmanship, gorgeous design work, flawless execution, and vibe. Like the aforementioned builders, Scott's work is at once beautiful, and most importantly, has a ton of soul and character. Priced with hardshell case.
