We are very excited to welcome the Fender Custom Shop to The Music Emporium! Many of us started our guitar playing journey on Fender guitars - and we certainly noticed all of our idols playing them - so to be able to work with the Dream Factory in CA and spec out our perfect Fender guitars? A dream come true to be sure.

The secret behind this Limited Edition Roast Poblano Stratocaster's magic is a set of hot, hand-wound Ancho Poblano pickups, fat '59 C-shaped neck, and jumbo 6100 fret wire.

Aside from a guitar's pickups, it's widely believed that a guitar's neck has the biggest influence on its overall tone - the fatter the neck, the better the guitar will sound. We admit we're believers in this idea as many of our favorite guitars do indeed have chunky necks. The Roasted Poblano Strat's maple neck has also been roasted (as has the Alder body) - a process that removes moisture, crystalizes resins...essentially mimicking the process that wood goes through as it ages. The benefit for you? A guitar that immediately feels and sounds old without the decades long wait! 

Another highlight for us on this guitar, aside from the versatile and tone-filled electronics, is the neck. We're huge fans of the 7.25-9.5" radius - best of both worlds, vintage and modern - and the satin finished, broken-in feeling neck is immediately comfortable. 

We're sold, what can we say? Fender's Custom Shop is at the top of their game and the Roasted Poblano Strat is yet another example of why. Priced with hardshell case.
