If you've followed our site for any length of time you've likely noticed we're big fans of having builders mix vintage-inspired looks with their modern, forward-leaning builds. Case in point, our latest batch of 70s inspired Grosh guitars in a killer looking 70s black color scheme. 

Don's NOS Retro model looks and feels a lot like an old Stratocaster, albeit a lot more refined. The "Large 50s" neck carve is just ever so slightly bigger than the standard "Medium/Large Roundback", but is by no means a boat neck. The slightly larger carve combined with the 10" radius provides a more modern playing experience and is extremely comfortable. 

Played acoustically, this guitar has a loud and snappy voice with tons of sustain. Plugged in, this guitar proves itself to be much more versatile than the classic Strat thanks in large part to the clever blend control and bridge pickup base plate (a la Telecasters). There are no anemic bridge pickup tones on this beauty - instead, you're presented with fat, stinging, beautifully compressed bridge pickup tones and all the classic Strat "cluck" and chime you could ever want in the other positions. Don's Strats remind us of a killer vintage Strat that's already been recorded and sweetened with a classic EQ and/or compressor (1176, etc...). Yes, please! 

Playability / setup? Flawless per usual. This guitar is just a joy to play. 

As you can tell, we were really going for a vintage, 70s Fender vibe and as usual, Don and crew nailed it. This is a killer Strat-style guitar that will easily satisfy even the most demanding of players. Priced with custom fitted hardshell case.
