Description

"At Koll, we see guitar making as an ongoing conversation between builders and players, and we use that feedback to continue to improve our designs and approach. Our clients include David Torn, Elliot Sharp, Bill Frisell, Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), Henry Kaiser, Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse), Peter Holmstrom (Dandy Warhols), Hershel Yatovitz (Chris Isaak), Kenny Greenberg (Kenny Chesney), and many more." - Saul Koll

It's rare to encounter such an original, and beautifully executed, guitar design like Saul Koll's "Glide" series guitars. Build quality? Top notch. There's an organic, made-by-hand feel to this Saul Koll creation. The fretwork is excellent as is the rounded, fat C neck carve. The guitar feels great to play, due in part to the "barely there" finish on the neck and body. It has a very slinky feel which is accentuated by the Schaller wraparound bridge. The Arcane / Koll KP-90 pickups deliver Tele-like twang in the bridge position, Tele-meets-LP Special in the middle position, and an almost P90 archtop fatness in the neck position. This guitar is perfect for almost any style of music (save for the extreme / high gain variety) and inspires hours of play. Priced with a Koll Deluxe G&G hardshell case.
