There is a timelessness to this Koll Super Glide Almighty that we can't get enough of! Perhaps it's the classic Charlie Christian pickup silhouette that evokes images of archtop masters or the unmistakeable Bigsby vibrato…whatever it is, we're in. We simply love this guitar! 

The interplay of Saul's original "Glide" body shape, rich brown hues, satin finish, highly figured big leaf maple top, and three Vintage Vibe Charlie Christian pickups with gorgeous wooden surrounds makes a strong visual statement that's hard to argue with - this guitar is as beautiful as it is outright cool. There's a warmth that emanates from this SGA visually that carries over to the feel of the guitar in your hands. We're big fans of the satin finish Saul used on several of his 2017 NAMM guitars as it brings a warm, immediate, and tactile element to the playing experience that a gloss finish, while beautiful in its own right, simply can't match. 

Once in your hands, this guitar has a slightly taut feel much like a great 175 or similar guitar has. Jazz players will certainly feel right at home and this guitar might just have you rethinking your need for a traditional archtop. By no means are we suggesting this is a "jazz guitar" only, but it certainly delivers in that department. Blues players, fans of early rock, and even more experimental players would find lots to love about this guitar as well. 

The Vintage Vibe CC pickups in this SGA sound amazing. Think P90-meets-humbucker with a pinch of Strat tossed in. Really? Absolutely. We got great bite out of the bridge pickup, quasi-Strat tones in the "2 and 4" positions, and killer jazz tones on the neck pickup. There's a lot of ground one can cover with the ingenious way Saul wired this guitar - note the two 3-way switches. The switch on the upper bout controls the pickups a la a Les paul, while the 3-way just below the Bigsby controls how the middle pickup is activated/combined with the others. Awesome!
