Lowden S-35 12-Fret Redwood /Koa

Description

New for 2018: the 12-fret S-sized guitars from Lowden. What they say: "The all new Lowden 12-Fret model is based on our S size body. Whilst the scale length (630mm) remains the same as the regular 14 fret S model, the bridge has been relocated and the soundbox uniquely voiced to create a guitar that offers something different to anything else in the Lowden range. The location of the bridge on the soundboard increases the guitars midrange punch and despite its more compact feel, the 12 Fret offers projection and vibrancy more akin to a guitar with a much larger soundbox." What we say: Agreed 100%! We've been spending a lot of time with these guitars over the last week or so, and the staff consensus is clear ~ these do not sound like what we've come to expect from Lowden. And that's not a bad thing at all. While the signature Lowden clarity and "air" is present, these 12-Fret models are huge-sounding, with a drier, warmer voice. These are the Lowden guitars for the more traditional-minded player to be sure. Standard Lowden 1 3/4" nut width. 24.9" scale. Priced with Hiscox hard case!
