Description

For our most recent build with luthier John Slobod, we decided to go as traditional as we could -- a 1930-style OM-28, with gorgeous straight-grained Brazilian Rosewood, pyramid bridge, ebony neck rod and banjo tuners. The advent of high-gear-ratio Rickard banjo tuners and PLEK treatment of the bar fret wire will make a believer out of any hardened skeptic -- this guitar plays like a dream, with a huge, fat responsiveness (and let's be honest -- those banjo tuners just look amazing). These elements, along with John's stellar worksmanship, combine to produce something that's eerily close to the real thing (and for anyone who doesn't believe that bar frets & ebony neck support are a big reason those early OMs sounded like they did ... you've got to get your hands on one of these). As mentioned, the responsiveness of this guitar is simply amazing, and it's got the power, balance and "round" treble sound of a bone fide pre-war Martin. A stunning guitar, from one of the best builders working today.

Although this instrument sold immediately, we'll have other Circa guitars coming next year -- feel free to reach out to us if you'd like more information.
