Collings AT-16 (USED, 2006)

Sold

Description

The Collings AT-16 is arguably the most coveted acoustic archtop guitar on the market. Its combination of unmistakable sleek lines and homage to the L5 design are unique in the modern boutique guitarosphere. This is a Bill Collings-built instrument, in outstanding condition, with one very unique feature (or lack thereof). Shortly before Collings transitioned to the modern AT-16 serial nomenclature ("AT16-XX"), four guitars were built & shipped without serial numbers. This is one of those four. Collings' build records date these instruments to late 2005 or early 2006; and this instrument is accompanied by a letter from Collings attesting to authenticity & provenance. This is a very easy playing AT-16, with a bold, full-sounding voice and incredible balance across the spectrum. But then again, that's what makes an AT-16 an AT-16. Exceptionally clean condition, with a few light scratches around the strap button. With its original Collings / TKL hard case.
