Description

If it's commanding volume and tone you're after, Collings' slope-shouldered DS models might be the ticket. Yes, this DS1 is a 12-fret dreadnought with a wide neck, but we're always surprised how little that actually matters once you sit down and start chunking out some chords. The DS model offers the biggest internal air cavity of any Collings flattop; and as such delivers low end power and sustain like nothing else. This is the perfect rhythm guitar for any acoustic ensemble, and it's a tremendous old-time flatpicker -- even capo'd at the 4th or 5th fret it's louder than most conventional dreads. Finished off with a tasteful rope purfling and priced with TKL hard case.
