Most 335 buffs know that unless you want to drop serious coin on a vintage 335, the next best place to seek semi-hollow bliss is in the early 80's 335 reissues. While you can certainly find great examples from that era, why not jump right to the front of the line with this beautiful merlot I-35 LC? 

Initial thoughts? Super resonant, lively, and responsive (like all Collings, truthfully). The neck on this I-35 LC feels great in-hand - slightly chunky, but appropriate for this style of guitar (.86"-.96"). The setup is simply flawless.

The Throbak SLE101+ humbuckers sound phenomenal and are quite possibly our favorite vintage flavored humbuckers on the market. They have "the" sound and will leave you wanting for nothing if you're searching for the quintessential 335 tone - great bite on the bridge pickup, and open/round neck pickup tones...it's all here. We tend to walk from a session with these guitars grinning ear-to-ear. Awesome, inspiring stuff.
