Collings Guitars is well-known for building incredibly beautiful looking, sounding, and playing guitars, raising the bar on Gibson-style builds to a very high level to say the least. To have them turn their attention to nailing the classic ES335 "recipe" visually - neck binding, dot inlays, pickguard, vintage looking 'burst - and then apply a very realistic aged lacquer finish...it doesn't get much better.

Collings has nailed the important stuff - namely, the feel and tones. The necks are exactly what you'd want in a guitar like this and remind us of what a vintage 335 feels like. Not too fat, not too skinny...while not overly descriptive we know, it just feels right in your hands and would work well for nearly all players. 

Tones? Beautiful. Clean and overdriven, this is as good as it gets for a semi-hollow. All the open, airy, biting, warm, fat tones you could ever want. Contradictory terms you say? Nope, semi-hollows are known for their versatility and can truly cover all that ground with ease.
