Here's Collings Guitars flexing some serious custom-building muscles! A client of ours was interested in a seriously unique Collings with some alternative tonewoods, so we asked them to come up with something special -- no hard-and-fast spec details required. The basis here is an OM3, customized with deep-body design and some dazzling woods we hadn't seen from Collings heretofore (check out the wildly figured Walnut back & sides and reclaimed Blue Spruce top)! How does it sound? Well, pretty amazing -- as you'd likely guess! The guitar has a really woody voice, and singing trebles high up the neck; and the deep-body configuration makes it extremely versatile whether you're a strummer or flatpicker.
