Description

"Every day we try to make a better guitar, every day. You're trying to reach for more, trying to do better, not trying to do the same. A lot of companies are trying to do the same, and that's okay - that's their deal. We're trying to stretch that. Our goal is a little more." - Bill Collings

While giving a nod to Gretsch-style guitars (hollow-body construction, a Bigsby, and TV Jones Filter'Tron style pickups), the Gretsch similarities end quickly once you have this guitar in your hands. Borrowing the Collings SoCo body shape, this Statesman with custom Half-Parallelogram inlays is an incredibly lightweight and playable instrument that responds to your every whim - responsive, fast, toneful.

To us, the Statesman feels like the perfect middle ground between a Collings archtop and their SoCo model. You get the feel and midrange of a Collings archtop with the ability to handle higher volumes (and a wider range of styles / genres) of a SoCo. A great combo to be sure! Priced with hard case by Ameritage.
