Absolutely. Though we don't have a large bass presence at the shop, we love a great bass and how it can inspire every bit as much as a great guitar. Even for non-bass players, there's tons of reasons to own at least one bass - recording, jam sessions, to broaden your musicality, etc...tons of benefits. 

This Olive Drab beauty is coming from a Jazz Bass place, circa 1965. Like all of Creston's instruments, it has the perfect balance of old-school vibe and modern build without feeling sterile. The super comfy torrefied & quarter-sawn maple neck is topped with a thick slab of Indian Rosewood. It feels a little chunkier than a 60's Fender coupled with the slimmer nut width that fills the hand perfectly. 

A set of Lollar J pickups controlled by Emerson Electronics brings all the 60's Fender tones you could ever hope for. Back off the bridge pickup for that hollow P Bass tone or dial in the bridge pickup for that brighter tone J basses are known for. 

What can we say, we're loving this gorgeous bass from our friend Creston Lea. A true time tested design. Larry Graham, Jaco, John Paul Jones, David Hood, and Joe Osborn can't be wrong.
