Description

If you're a Wes Montgomery devotee, you'll want to put this well-kept 1998 L-5CT on your short list - it simply has "that" sound. Featuring a high-grade spruce top and maple back and rims, its body is a substantial 17-inches wide, 21-inches long, and 2 1/2-inches deep – dimensions key to its rich, dark, woody tones. Multi-ply binding in black or white accents the top and back, and single-ply white binding outlines the f-holes.

The guitar’s neck is made of high-grade maple and walnut supporting a 20-fret ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays and multi-ply black or white binding. The ES rounded profile neck has a 25 1/2-inch scale length with a 1 11/16-inch width at the nut. Simply put? It plays great and sounds fantastic. Low action and the slightly chunky neck make for a very easy playing archtop.

Condition: Excellent. This is a very well cared for guitar showing little signs of wear - just a small indentation here / there on the body and some slight tarnishing on the gold hardware. There is one imperfection in the top's clear coat - near the f-hole that was difficult to photograph. It doesn't immediately show itself, but can be noticed upon closer inspection. The frets don't show any wear and the setup is excellent.

Priced with hardshell case.
