If you're the type of player who loves vintage guitars but also needs, or appreciates, higher performing/modern instruments, you really owe it to yourself to check out one of Don's instruments. They are flawlessly made, lightweight, extremely resonant, and ultra-deluxe playing instruments. These guitars brilliantly straddle the line between vintage feel and modern leaning features and build quality.

The satin-finished Large Roundback neck carve (.87"-.97") is a highlight of this guitar. It feels like an old Fender neck from the early 60's, but with impeccable fretwork. It's rock solid and no doubt a huge reason why this guitar plays, feels, and sounds so great. As mentioned, the fretwork is outstanding and Don's own pickups deliver gorgeous twang coupled with a softened top-end (ie, no earsplitting treble here) and killer compression. The bridge pickup reminds us of a Tele coupled with the midrange bump of a great P90, while the neck pickup adds an almost PAF like fatness to single note runs. Warm yet articulate - sophisticated? - is the name of the game here. It's very cool and inspiring, to be sure. 

Condition: Excellent. Only light play wear is evident via light finish swirls on the guard, frets have the faintest of wear. The most noticeable wear is in the form of a finish smudge near the output jack. It's not into the paint, just a scuff on top of the paint. Again, minor and in a very hidden place while playing. 

This is an outstanding guitar that will please any player looking for the best of the best - or - the player who loves Tele's but wish they were a bit more refined. Priced with custom fitted hardshell case.
