We're huge fans of Nik Huber's work and this new Petrol Blue Krautster II is a great example of why - block inlays, full body color (usually just the top is colored), neck binding, double bound, 6lbs 2oz (?!). This guitar is extremely light, resonant, quite loud acoustically, and sustains for days - and that's without the aid of amplification!

Plugged in? Punch. Articulation. Power. The splittable Haussel made humbucker combined with the Haussel P90 neck pickup yield a ton of different tones - classic rock, Tele-esq twang, even fat jazzy neck tones are possible. This isn't the type of guitar that covers a bunch of ground though none particularly well - this guitar sounds stellar no matter what you're trying to coax from it. In this way it's a very inspiring guitar to play.

**Please note: The satin finish on the Krautster is meant to age / patina as time goes on. It will become glossier in spots that see high use (strumming arm, for example). It's a difficult finish to keep spotless, which is intentional and by Huber's design.
