Like all great builders, Nik Huber manages to straddle the line between a precision build and a soulful guitar brilliantly. There is a sophistication, warmth, and forgive the term, organic, quality to his guitars. The setup and playability are off the charts great - this satin finished neck is simply incredible. Luxurious is the term that came to mind when getting acquainted with this guitar. It's effortless to play, feels really alive and responsive in your hands, and come on - did you think we'd skip over the looks? This thing looks unreal, no? 

This is our first Surfmeister from Huber, and honestly, we're 100% loving it! First impressions? It's extremely resonant, quite loud acoustically, and sustains for days without the aid of amplification. Plugged in? Punchy, articulate, powerful. The Haussel-made Tronebuckers deliver beautiful upper-midrange and chime, resulting in a guitar that, to our ears, sounds a bit like a great ES-335 crossed with a Grestch. It's punchy, articulate-yet-warm, can cover a ton of ground tonally (that's before utilizing the push/pull tone control to split the pickups for even more tones...)...it's a really inspiring ride to be sure.
