Huber Twangmeister Lake Placid Blue

Description

Nik Huber's brilliant take on the classic Telecaster is brimming with sensual lines, gorgeous woods, and killer tones. There's really no other way to say it - this Lake Placid Blue Twangmeister is a sexy guitar. You know it, we know it, and that's why you're here reading about it, right? Wise choice.

Huber guitars are the very definition of a clean build. Every aspect of this guitar is immaculately executed with anything superfluous eliminated. From the moment you pick the guitar up, you know it's something special.

"Uh oh...so I bet that means it's kind of sterile, right? Too perfect? Not enough soul?"

While we agree guitars that are this well made can sometimes suffer that fate - perfection at the expense of soul - that couldn't be further from the truth with Huber guitars. To us, that's exactly what makes them exceptional. There's tons of soul in these guitars and they're incredibly well made. The overall feel is a mixture of deluxe/luxury and minimal/utilitarian - it's very cool to be sure. And very unique.

To be sure, the Twangmeister is its own take on a Telecaster. Its bridge pickup will twang with the best of them, but this guitar can do much more than that. The neck position P90 is fat, round, and frankly, just sounds killer, period. Both pickups combined make for a muscular-yet-clear rhythm tone.

The stunning Birdseye maple neck (the body of the guitar is Alder, btw) has a really nice 50s Fender-like chunky V shape. The satin finish feels fantastic in hand - no sticky finish to deal with on this maple neck. The fretwork yields a very smooth, slick feel that make chords or leads super easy to execute.

As you can tell, we're pretty taken with this beauty. This is a fantastic guitar on every level - check it out! Priced with hardshell case.
