For a 15-year old mandolin with a thin varnish finish, this instrument is in very good condition--though it does exhibit normai signs of playwear and handling. It's one of the best-looking Kimlbes we've come across, with a reddish mahogany 'burst and tortoise binding motif that catches eyes from across the room. This is a loud, resonant and open-sounding mandolin, with that woody sweetness sure to please bluegrass players.
