Description

"I didn't want to make Telecasters or Stratocasters or Les Paul copies, I wanted to do my own thing. Because these are original shapes, I had the flexibility to do anything I wanted." -Saul Koll

The Koll Super Cub model tips its hat to 60's American guitars like Gibson's Melody Maker, Harmony's Bobkat, and Epiphone's Wilshire. Truth be told, we loved this guitar immediately for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is because it's the type of guitar that reminded us of why we picked up an electric guitar in the first place - it looks killer and is super fun to play.

We have a guess as to what you're thinking at this point - what's the story with those pickups?! They are Curtis Novak GT-V goldfoils and they sound incredible. The tones we pulled from this guitar were muscular, full of chime, and excelled at both clean and overdriven tones. Fender, Vox, Marshall-style amps, it sounded amazing through every one.

Condition: Excellent. Very little signs of prior ownership.

Ultra-lightweight, resonant, and lively, the Super Cub embodies what makes models like vintage Melody Makers so great. Take that vibe and put it into a superbly crafted guitar and you'll get where this guitar is coming from. Priced with hardshell case.
