We have to admit, there were audible "ooh's, oh man's, and good lord that's hot!" comments happening when we opened the case of this gorgeous Tobacco Burst Super Glide Almighty. I mean, how could you not? You saw the pics, yes? Saul is simply the master of combining elegance with sexy, rock n roll appeal, case closed. 

If you're a fan of Gretsch Guitars and/or Gibson Guitars - that's, what, pretty much everyone, yes? - you'll appreciate where this SGA is coming from. It's a classy build, but with a snotty punk rocker attitude. That's one of our favorite things about Saul's guitars - they fit such a wide range of contexts. Anything from trio gigs at an upscale venue all the way to beer-soaked, crowded rock clubs...this guitar would be right at home in either (or both!). Not many guitars will do that with authority, right? 

The slightly chunky "medium C"carve feels a bit like a cross between a Duo Jet and, say, a Les Paul Special (chunky, but without excessive shoulder). The action is nice and low and the Bigsby works perfectly. It's a loud, resonant, and alive instrument when played acoustically...

The TV Jones Classic Filtertron neck pickup brings all the classic chime this style of pickup is known for, while the TV Jones Duo Tron in the bridge position brings a touch more oomph and attack to the party. It's a great sounding combo that will make Chet devotees smile, but if your vibe is more punk than that, it'll deliver the goods in the style as well. Great midrange snarl and bite are on tap when you crank the amp and hit it with your favorite overdrive.
