Description

"I think what sets Lentz guitars apart is my experience with so many guitars over the years. I've refinished hundreds of vintage Strat's and Tele's, not to mention several 50's Les Pauls. What this is has done for me is to give me an ear for certain nuances that I found to be the essence of guitar sounds I like." -Scott Lentz

"Oh my" is right, folks. You said it, we said it...this is a gorgeous 2016 Olympic White Reserve S-style, no two ways about it. Fortunately with a Lentz, it's not just skin deep. These guitars are full of soul, killer tones, and a vibe that's hard to explain, but you know it when you play one and they all have it. You feel it. You connect with it. Suppose that's the whole point with a great guitar, no?

Funny enough? This guitar sounds fantastic acoustically. It's really loud, feels incredibly solid in your hands, and has a sustain-rich voice that you just know is going to knock you out plugged in...which is does. Lentz winds their own pickups for each guitar so you're getting the most fully realized version of this specific guitar possible. They all sound a little different while retaining a definite Lentz character - muscular, chimey, great top-end sparkle, an almost P90-like character in the bridge pickup... This one sounds like a great vintage Strat. It's got great bite but is more of a medium output/warmer tone like you find on 60s Strats (at least to our ears - they're warmer than you'd think they'd be).

As we've said before, we can't overstate the importance of the "Lentz feel" - it's everything with these guitars and impossible to pinpoint, but it's addictive and one of the reasons these guitars as so highly regarded by so many. Plugged in at rehearsal or stage volume? Stunning. 3-dimensional, nuanced, powerful tones. The tone controls work extremely well allowing you to really dial in the guitar to your rig.

Condition: Aside from some light surface scratches in various spots on the body (none are deep), this guitar is in excellent condition; light discoloration on the guard by the 5-way switch.

We're all looking for that "lifer" guitar...perhaps it's a myth, we all own multiple guitars and are keen to pick up that new one that catches our eye, but we're trying to get that "never sell" instrument. This is a keeper, no doubt. Not sure what more you'd want a Strat to do or be! Priced with hardshell case.
