Pre-War Guitar Co. Model D Sunburst

Description

TME is excited to announce we'll be stocking the very cool, very great-sounding instruments made by Wes Lambe and Ben Maschal of Pre-War Guitars! Pre-War has made quite a name for themselves in the traditional acoustic music community over the past couple years; and after several regular clients brought their own guitars into the shop, we decided enough was enough. We had to have 'em for ourselves too! While players are undoubtedly attracted to Pre-Wars for their artfully hand-distressed finishes, we're pretty sure it's the tone that keeps them coming back. These guitars are light, loud, woody and very open-sounding, and offer a very compelling alternative to other boutique builders in their price point.

This Sunburst Model D is our first Pre-War guitar -- and what a way to kick things off! This is a Level 2.5 relic (on a scale of 1 to 3), so the wear is very noticeable whether you're up close of ten feet away. This guitar has an incredibly satisfying response, with a booming low E string that'll rattle your ribcage. The midrange is very present and open, with chimey trebles that would certainly power through any jam. It sounds great fingerpicked up the neck with a capo, but really -- this thing screams "bluegrass" in looks and sound. A knockout guitar for the flatpicker who wants vibe, tone and playability. Priced with Harptone hard case.
