Description

The Lowden 12-fret lineup has been expanded to include their "Wee" sized instruments! This WL-35 in 12-Fret Walnut & Driftwood Cedar is our first 12-fret Wee Lowden; and it's immediately apparent why the design and the model go so well together. What Lowden says: This year we round off our 12 Fret collection with the Wee Lowden. Based off of our existing F, S and WL body shapes, the 12 Fret range features the same respective scale length as their 14 fret equivalent. However, the bridge has been relocated and the soundbox uniquely voiced to create a collection of guitars that offers something different to anything else in the Lowden range. What we say: what a difference in warmth and treble responsiveness! With any parlor-sized guitar (like a Wee Lowden), retaining fatness up the fingerboard is crucial; and the 12-fret bridge placement keeps things full and round-sounding whether you're playing with bare fingers or a flatpick. Is it a guitar you can throttle like a D-28? No. But then again, that's not why anyone would be interested in it. An exceptional-sounding guitar for a fingerpicking singer-songwriter, and an instrument that would record like a dream! Priced with Ameritage case.
